Trichoptilosis

Preview

Trichoptilosis can be a very difficult and frustrating thing to deal with when it should be the last thing on the list of tasks to worry about. Its said that there is no cure for it but I beg to differ. If you give your hair the proper care and love it needs to nourish and blossomly shine then you have found your curl.

In my opinion, if you keep your hair moisturized and appl correct management, you in fact, can eliminate the issue. Its just the matter of how well and fast you hair grows and if your growth lengthens out evenly. I mean you have a million follicles on the top of your head and each one grows out at a different pace. But to me its how well each follicle is synced in with one another along with the right hydration. For instance, oiling your scalp has a lot to do with how well your growth pattern simulates. Making sure you cover the entire scalp. The areas you may have missed will lack the amount of same hydration from areas that are properly oiled. Causing the hair to grow at a different pace. So to eliminate breakage and shedding, be sure to moisturize and nourish your hair with the proper care along with intaking a healthy diet.

TRIMMING ENDS

The importance of trimming you ends has a significant amount of effect to the way your hair grows and how healthy you can maintain it. There are many benefits to keeping up with a trim every 4-6, 6-8 or 8-12 weeks, it all really depends on the pace of your hair growth.

  1. Preventing ends from separating: left untreated, split ends will continue to split up the cuticle causing breakage, resulting in hair loss.

  2. Healthy hair growth: trimming the ends of your hair removes all the harmful things that enters through the ends of your cuticle causing many issues. Treating your ends with trims can promote growth, allowing moisture to penetrate properly while nourishing all the way to the hair follicle and root. It also allows a steady growth pattern simulating growth.

  3. Improving the texture: Trims allow the cuticle to seal in the nutrients needed promoting healthier texture and adding volume. Rinsing your hair in cool to lukewarm water protects the hair from excessive heat extracting its natural oils. In which will cause dryness, and brittleness. Trims will also give your hair a smoother and silkier appearance. Getting rid of swollen ends causing frizz, dryness, dullness and that rough feeling, tangles making it hard to manage and less easy to style. Trimming is essential for keeping its shape and structure, allowing hair styles to last much longer.

  4. Preventing damage: Trimming prevents those burnt looking ends causing the hair to look and feel more rough or frizzy than the upper part of the hairs shaft. In which may cause your curl pattern to change resulting in multiple curl patterns. Split ends will travel up the hair until there is no hair left to split. So conditioning the hair properly before the trim can lock in the right amount of moisture preventing future damage enhancing the appearance.

  5. Removing knots: As time goes on you may have manipulated your hair so in many different ways and styles that you may have caused the hair to knot it self or together at the ends of your hair making it harder to manage and detangle. This is a huge issue. Number one issue if you ask me. As you detangle the hair you start from the ends, combing through knots, tangles and curls breaking, sometimes ripping the hair apart as you slowly work your way further up during the detangling process. That causes more strain to the hair and resulting in a bigger trim. Most times the first trim is the worst but will see huge improvements and results with each styling. Depending on the amount of damage and how much care is needed to bring back the health of your hair, the appointments will start very frequently, every week, every two weeks, once a month and so forth to keep up with the pace of your hair growth. There is no way to untie the knots created at your ends unless you have the equipment to magnify the hair strands, which may even cause more damage and a lot more patience.

  6. Boosting confidence: The excitement you feel when you have experienced a well groomed and satisfying appointment or DIY session will give you the self-assurance you need to strut your stuff. Bringing back the luster of your hair from the inside out. No one wants dull, thin hair, that will bring down your entire look. Keeping up with your hair will allow styling more tamable, executing different looks and styles as you walk your fashion runway, flaunting flawlessly every second.
